Super cute with the quilting, but the color did not “pop” in person as it does in the photos. It’s actually quite bland, so unfortunately I had to return them.

For those of us with a thick calf but not quite wide these go up to 16″ so skinny jeans and these boots look fabulous. The aburgine color is a chameleon, looks black, navy, just blends in, love it!

These are absolutely beautiful boots! The color is so nice…it can look aubergine in some lights and black in others. Every review I read said if you wear a half size, go down. I wear a size 7 or 7.5 in shoes, depending on the brand and style, so I ordered a 7. They are just too tight all over. And there is absolutely no way the Hunter boot socks I ordered along with them would ever fit. I am an average sized woman, so they shouldn’t have been tight in the calves. I’m sure I could have adjusted the buckle in the back to loosen them, but they just felt so uncomfortable all over I decided to return them. Unfortunately, they don’t have a size up. I was sooooooooo disappointed!

I love the style, was just disappointed that I didn’t get the size right — order 1/2 size up, not down! Easy enough to exchange for the right size, but still a delay in enjoying them.

I had another pair that needed to be replaced that were a size 8. My normal size is 9. I looked at the reviews and most said true to size so I ordered the 9. Way too big. Returning for 8. These are fabulous rain boots.

I had originally ordered in my size 9 when I read the boots fit true to size. However, they were a full size big. I ordered the 8 and they are great.

I finally gave in and bought a pair of Hunter boots to see what all the rave was about and if it really worked well in the rain. I really love the quilt design giving a rubber rain boot a stylish look. While I can fit between 9.5/10, I found the 10 to fit much better while wearing heavy duty socks to keep my feet warm. Even though I’d consider my legs to be lean/average, I had no problem with these boots looking too wide and sloppy on me (even with skinny jeans or leggings). And no funny rubber smell after wearing them for a while. Overall, I’m very happy to have made this purchase and no longer have to deal with soaked legs and feet from a rainstorm.

I love the style! Sadly, the sizes didn’t work out for me! I ordered my usual size 7 and it was a little too snug and the size 8 was just too big… I had to return both…ugh!

I think these are a nice updated look to the basic Hunter Wellies. But would suggest weqring them with the Hunter boot socks. They were too big until I put on the socks, then they fit just right.. Be prepared for a fight getting them off if you don’t have someone to help. I practically gave myself a hernia trying to take them off. Only gripe is that I received them all scuffed up. I called and just got the typical “oh, sorry about that.” For $200 , I’d like to scuff up my own shoes thank you very much! If you pay full price for “new shoes” you should get new shoes. Other that that, they were good.

These boots are so cute- and make such a statement! The quilting gives just a little extra flare.
BUT if you wear the “original” Hunter style- you might consider going up 1 size since the “refined” style is a little more fitted.

While I have not had a chance to wear them yet, I am definitely looking forward to it. The width of the calf is great – they are fitted, yet not tight. I don’t think I could wear super thick socks as the shoe portion also fits me true to size, but I did not want to have to always wear thick socks just to wear them, so normal weight socks are perfect and nothing feels too snug.

My first pair of Hunter boots and I LOVE them! Love the STYLE, fit and comfort! I wear a size 10 but ordered a size 11. With my thick socks it’s a perfectly snug fit. Easy to put on and take off.

Since Hunter doesn’t offer half sizes, as a 7.5 I scoured reviews and websites to determine if I should size up or down. Based on these research, I went with a 7. They fit just right, though I don’t think I could use the really thick socks in them. I think this boot is a bit more stylish than the normal tall Hunter boot. These have a buckle at the back which allows a little more flexibility for different sized calves.

Upon opening the box, all of the stuffing was out of the boots and the boots had scuffs and scratches. These were clearly a returned item. Returned immediately. This was the second “used” order I received from Zappos that week.

My calves have gotten larger (17″) over the last 10 years and my original pair no longer fits. I had high-hopes for these, and while I can get them on, and buckled, they are really tight. Back they go.
