I absolutely love these boots! I have previously had a pair of Hunter Original Short Boots, but was never happy with where they hit on my calves. The Hunter Play Boot Short, however, is absolutely what I was hoping for. Excellent fit, very stylish, and a much lighter weight compared to the Hunter Original Short boots. I would love to have them in a variety of colors!

I originally ordered these boots in a size 8 (which is what I normally wear) but they arrived and were way too big. I called Zappos and they immediately shipped me out a 7 without any hassle – the next day! This is the 2nd time I’ve dealt with returns though Zappos and have had excellent customer service both times.
The shoes themselves are great and just what I expected. Hard to find a rain boot with great arch support. I will probably get inserts for comfort.
I would recommend this boot.

This is just what I was looking for. I work with animals and spend a lot of time in the grass/dirt/mud. It’s difficult to drive in tall rain boots and these are just the right height. They are very comfortable with room for a thick sock. On top of their durability, they are very stylish and would look cute with jeans. The small platform dresses them up a bit if that’s even possible. Would recommend!

The loop strap at back of the boot broke before my daughter even wore them. They do run big. She’s an 8, but we got the 7 and it was fine. But after spending almost $100, we were disappointed to have the loop come off with the first wear. Also- it was evident it was held in with glue… just not sure we want to try again at that price.

I like them, I don’t see why they’re so expensive they feel like any other rain boot. Very bulky if you have bigger feet like me I’m a size 9. They’re very roomy I will say even if you want to wear with fuzzy socks you still have a ton of room.

I wanted to live this boot. It was comfortable when I put it on and felt true to size. I could tell my feet would be warm in the rain and snow. However, as I started to walk with them the back of the shoe cut in to the back of my calf. Within a half hour I had to take them off to return them. I didn’t wear them with the Hunter socks, so maybe that could have made a difference.

I have several pair of Hunter rubber boots…. tall and medium. My Uber high arches make getting them on-and-off a challenge. If I am going to be in them for awhile, that is OK. I wanted a easy off-and-on pair for picking grandkids up from school. Many reviewers were pleased with this style. Ordered them in the blue… which was not as bright as in the pictures…. liked it. I am an 8.5… I ordered my usual Hunter 8… fit was good. Wedge sole is super comfortable. Moves to the top of my rain gear list!

I am a 7.5 but wear the 7 without socks and it fits fine. These are great for warm weather rainy days or walks with the dog when the grass is wet. Would recommend socks if you plan to wear all day as the rubber can rub on your upper ankle/lower shin. They are truly waterproof so feet can get sweaty. Overall, cute and cheerful for a grey day! Love Hunter for a classic rain boot that lasts. I have had other brands that dry up and crack. My Hunters have lasted me over 10 years and I am hopeful these will last as long as their predecessors.

Wore these sight-seeing all day today in the rain with medium weight wool socks. They were comfortable and never got hot and sticky (I was worried about that.) I have a duck foot — wide at the toe, narrow at the heel — and consistently wear a 7.5, but ordered a 7 in these and they are perfect.

I usually wear between a 6.5-7, and these fit perfectly in a size 6. Super comfortable and cute. The rubber feels soft. Highly recommend!

I wear a size 9.5 and these size 9s are perfect. I wish they had this color combination in the regular sole– not the wedge, but whatever. And the back of the boot snaps back at my leg when I walk which may get annoying if I walk a great distance. So far I’ve only worn them a little. I love this shorter size to step in quickly to go in the yard or get my mail at the end of the driveway. I love Hunters.

I love these boots and as other reviewers said, they do run a bit large (I love it as I can wear extra thick socks with them). Unfortunately, the first pair I bought, the pull tab on the back pulled off. The tabs are cute but not attached deep enough into the boot in my opinion. Hunter has great customer service/warranty and replaced my first pair…I’ve had the replacement pair for just over a month and the pull tab came pulled off again. I’m not very strong either!! The boots are cute and comfortable but beware of the pull tab! Otherwise, I’d recommend!!

I was hesitant to purchase these based on price, but they are worth every penny. I have arthritis in both feet, but these boots provided the arch support and stability I needed to be able to wear them all day without added pain. I’ve worn them to a music fest where we stood for hours, worked in them 8-5 as a teacher, and walked on a field trip with my son for hours – no troubles!

Very cute and comfortable! Perfect to easily pull on when it’s wetnout. I have wide feet with a high instep, and wide calves, and these boots fit perfect. A good boot if you are unable to wear higher boots due to calf size like I am. Extremely waterproof. Order a half-size down, I am an 8.5/9, and the 8 fits me perfectly.

I’m a professional dog walker in the Pacific Northwest and these are wonderful for me.
If you are a half size and wide shoe person definitely size up with any boot style. I personally find the large calf opening helpful, I do not have slender legs and these fit me perfectly. If it’s a heavy rain day, yes you will get rain in these boots because of the large opening; invest in high quality wool socks to help with that.
I have a high arch so I always need to add extra arch support, but I did try these oit for a 12 hour work day and it’s not bad! I would always recommend to include additional arch support in your shoes if you’re walking in them frequently.

SIZE: I am almost always a 6.5. I purchased the 6 and the 7 to compare. The 6 fits perfect, with room for a thick sock…or not.
COMPARISON: I also want to share that I purchased the Original Chelsea to compare. I honestly think the Chelsea is sliiiightly cuter than this one but the comfort of this Play Short won. The wedge heel makes it so comfortable and the wide opening makes it easy to take on and off. The Chelsea is beautiful and isn’t uncomfortable but it is comparatively less comfortable than the Play Short (I could feel the gap of support between the heel and the ball of the foot). The Chelsea also takes some effort to put on bc the opening is small. Anyhow, I really like Hunters, they last me years.

Super disappointed in these. My original review was raving and not two months later they have started to split. I work with animals 4 days a week, 6 hours a day. I wear these because they are SO comfortable and they fit my size ankles. These were in no way constricting my feet and I wore regular socks. They have started to split on the inside and my feet are constantly wet now.
Not happy at all, too much money for these to split!

Love Zappos! Love this Hunter boot but now 20 months later, they are leaking. The boot has come away from the seams that attach the top of the boot to the sole and on the top of the boot seam that looks to be a strip above the sole on the boot . I wear these boots moderately and just thought Hunter Boots would last longer than 20 months before leaking. Disappointed as the Hunter site states it will cover them forc24 months, but only if bought on their site. I will purchase a cheaper boot next time or buy directly from their site for coverage. Photos attached, but hard to see.

I love these boots I live in the rainy PNW. They are easy to get on and off. More pleasant to wear as to taller rain boots. I’m also 5’1 so the regular hunter boots are almost too tall for me.

Versatile and very cute! I normally wear a 8.5 or 9 and the 8 fit perfectly (size tag says 39 euro) so size down. Comfy right out of the box and easy to to slip and off

Fit is fine and are comfortable enough to wear for a few hours. Disappointed in Hunter as these are not cheap to purchase and to have them start peeling when they were barely warn (hardly any rain in CA). Will not purchase Hunter again.

I’m normally wear 6.5~7 and wear HUNTER TALL Size 7. Lots of reviews suggest to size down but I feel like regular size fits just fine with comfortable room. I don’t even need to use the tabs to wear them and take them off which is good since I don’t need to worry about tags coming off. I need to wear longer socks that covers my ankles since it rubs against the rubber inside. The length is perfect for light rain or walking on a wet street after rain which I felt the Hunter tall boots are unnecessary. Hope it lasts.
