Super cute…but have to return because they hurt my ankles so much after walking one block. I continued on my 2-mile walk hoping it would get better, but by the end of my walk, my ankles were in pain. I am 5’8 118 lbs, so maybe it’s my ankles ; I am bummed because they are made really sturdy and perfect for the rain.

Great waterproof boot, a little stiff at first which makes it hard to get on. Sometimes can be slippery on steep hills with wet leaves.

Im a size 8 that is what i ordered. You do have to give quite a pull to get these on and off just like the tall boots by hunter. My sister has that pair and she ordered down a size when i wear those thry hurt my feet after time. I love these!! Thought i was getting the pair with the color pull tab but didnt but i am still happy almost like the classic black. My toes have room to wiggle i can wear 2 pairs of socks for more warmth. Love love love these. Cant wait to dress em up or out and about working and not have to worry about them getting ruined by water!!

The ankles are pretty snug on these and you have to sit down to pull them on and off. I felt they were only comfortable with two pairs of socks so I returned. Disappointed as I really like the look of them. Also, pretty expensive for a rain boot.

I have feet that are slightly wider in the front and have been looking for a rain bootie that is comfortable for a while. This one is perfect. I am a Realtor, and though these really are super-cute, there is part of me that would have preferred something with a slightly more polished style, but overall I really do like them.

I returned these boots because they hit in a very uncomfortable spot on the back of the ankle. they are a little tight to get on, but that is workable- they are rubber and stiff after all. However the rubbing on the back of the ankle is a deal breaker.

I own and have owned a lot of boots. The vast majority are 8.5M. I first tried these in 8, but they fit like an 8, too small. I then tried the 9, it’s much better, but yeah it’s a little big, but that’s definitely preferable over small.

Narrow around the ankles as others have mentioned. They were definitely on the small side, but I really couldn’t see going up a whole size. I have other hunter boots that fit just fine in the size that I ordered.

I wish Hunter had half sizes. I got the same size as my refined tall boots and that was the best fit- the zappos shoe sizer was accurate. Still a little big but much more comfortable than my tall boots. Absolutely love the style of these boots and have gotten tons of complements.

I wanted so badly to love these boots. I love how they look, but they are so painful to wear how I want to, without thick socks. The only way they are even tolerable is to wear tall thick socks and then they aren’t cute. They also put pressure on your ankle bone, so that is also not comfortable. I would skip these!

Could not get them on without a major struggle. Much too narrow and stiff. My tall Hunters are easy to slide into these are not.

It is really hard to get these on and off. The elastic is very tight around the ankle. Once on, the rubber rubs on my shins. I’ve tried two sizes now and still can’t get them to fit comfortably.

I have the tall Hunter boots in this same size and they are fantastic. Super comfortable and waterproof for city walking or hiking. I thought maybe it would be nice to have a short version for travel and for those days when I want to bring something waterproof if there’s rain in the forecast. I couldn’t even get them on and off without a lot of huffing and puffing. It’s super tight around the ankle and no zipper or way to open them up to get them on. I guess I’ll stick to my tall boots.

Felt a bit small in the toe box. I might have bought half a size larger to accommodate thick, woolly socks. These boots are difficult to get on, but they look great and are decently comfortable once on.

I owned a pair of these boots in size 7 a while ago however they were a tad too small for my size 7.5 feet. When I saw these boots on sale on Zappos I decided to buy size 8. Size 8 fits great with a pair of thin socks, and my feet have a little breathing room in the rubber boots, which is great because I plan to wear these in the spring and summer. Dark Olive color is a great versatile color in the shade of very dark green. These boots are fashionable and feel sturdy and substantial, though a little stiff at entrance. I would recommend these boots.

AND WE HAVE A WINNER! Love the color: been searching endlessly for a long time for this color in any style. One con is difficulty get boot on and off. Eliminating the rubber flaps on inside of elastic goring might help. I own a pair of rain boots that are 25 yrs. old w/out the inside rubber flaps. they are very comfortable to wear, walk in, and get off and on. Otherwise, these boots are “Grrreat!”

Very cute – love the color (orange). Felt true to size BUT ankles were very tight- could barely get the boots on or off. Uncomfortable to walk since the ankles were pinched.

Like others have said this boot is too small around the ankle .. I have pretty thin-normal feet. Had to return they just were not comfortable. The boot is very cute though.

I ordered a size up and that worked out great. I wore them for the first time on a rainy cold day with no socks and at the end of the day I remarked that my feet were warm, dry, and comfortable. They are very cute but also very practical. I was surprised at how comfortable they felt on the footbed. My only complaint is that the side split on the rubber rubs on my ankle bones a little which causes some discomfort. Wearing socks would probably help with this issue. Overall I love them!

These are so cute and just what I was expecting! I read through other reviews about sizing and was very confused on what to do. Ive owned multiple pairs of Hunters over the years (never the Chelsea style though) so I went with my normal size of 9. It is a little on the short side, when I wear thicker socks my toes are very close to the end of the boot. But I think going up to a 10 would be too big so Im sticked with the 9. It also seems like the toe box is a little wider than other Hunters I own, dont know if this is due to the style or a new update but just something to keep in mind. It doesnt affect how comfortable my foot feels width-wise. Havent had a chance to wear them on a rainy day yet but Im sure theyll hold up like my others have.
