These are absolutely adorable! I already have the standard tall green Hunters; I wanted something a little stylish. I love that they’re lower. You still need socks in them so you can get them off, however. They look great with jeans and a tunic. The tall ones go well with a shorter dress; not these. The little buckle on the back is functional, not just decorative. Be warned, however, my puppy found the strap extremely yummy and I have some bite marks. I doubt Zappos will buy my story that they were ‘already there’, so I’ll keep them… anyway, love them. Sturdy, stylish. Nice to spoil myself if I have to walk around in the rain!

after ordering 3 different boots, and returning each one, i finally happened across these Hunter short back adjustable ones. For girls with larger calves these boots are a must have. They are very generous at the top – being a shorter boot, then top edge could easily cut at the bottom of the calf muscle. I have a pair or regular Hunter short (with the side adjusting buckle) and those chafe my calf muscles regularly. These however, are a perfect fit for my calves. I am 5’2″ so i don’t mind a short boot, they seem to do the trick. They’re more snug to get your foot into,but that’s a good thing, because they fit around my ankles well and the shapes holds well on my feet (no loose spots). still plenty of space to wear a thicker sock too.

I was nervous to buy this boot I have large calves and boots that fit them are hard to find. I didn’t have any reason to worry! They fit my calves with room to spare. Very cute for rainy days.

Calling all wide calf ladies! These boots are perfect for those of us with muscular calves. I had to send back the tall wide calf Hunter boots because I couldn’t get them on! These fit perfectly, with plenty of room!!! And they look really cute!

I love these boots! I always shied away from them because I have a fairly wide calf and I am 4’10”, so my legs are short, and I usually wear a 6 Wide shoe. These boots fit SO well, and are extremely comfortable. In fact, I have ample room in the shaft to easily tuck my jeans in. The adjustable strap is very helpful as well. The gloss black is both functional and fashionable.

I was looking for a cute, wider-calf rain boot. I have tried the regular tall Hunter boots and they were too tight around the calf. My calves are 15-15.5 inches (co not huge) but I have trouble with taller boots. I bought the tall wide-calf hunter boots, in a size 8 (I normally wear 7.5-8) and they were too big in the foot, but fit well around the calf. However, I did not like how awkwardly the boot bends at the ankle when I walked. I then purchased the adujustable-back short hunter boots in a size 7. They fit perfectly with socks and are very cute! They are probably a little wider than they need to be considering they are shorter, but I wanted to make sure jeans, leggings, sweatpants, etc. would fit in them. I cannot speak to the longevity of them as I have only had them a short time. I have also not worn them on bare legs. I have read that they can cause abrasions, which makes sense.

Great fit and love the color. The shaft size is accurate and the adjustable straps allow plenty of room for socks or to tuck in your pant leg.

These are cute but have to go back because they were too big. I usually take a 7.5 and ordered an 8 but will order a 7.

These rainboots are perfect for short girls with thick calves! I’m 5’1″, 150lbs, size M/8-10, and have 16″ calves so it’s always hard for me to find boots that are wide enough to accommodate my short, thick calves. These are seriously perfect! I even have a little extra room to wear with jeans. The actual size of the shoe was about .5 size too big; I usually wear 7.5 and ordered these in a 7 and they fit just right. I also have a wide foot so I was worried they might be too tight, but they feel pretty roomy and are wider than the cheap off-brand rainboots I’ve been wearing. I’m so excited about these rainboots actually fitting and would totally recommend them to any girl that needs the extra calf room!

Love these boots! So cute and comfortable! so wear 8.5 in most all shoes but needed an 8 in these boots and they fit perfectly! Very happy with this purchase! 🙂

The foot bed is a little more narrow than I thought it would be however still comfortable with socks. The top around the calf is loose and super comfortable like the galoshes that I thought they would be. I also ordered the sheepskin insoles to put inside which fit perfectly size 8 insoles size 8 boots very comfortable, even with the thin socks.

These boots are so cute but I read reviews and purchased a size smaller which was a mistake. I like that they are adjustable but they are still hard to get off, must wear socks. I will be purchasing my actual size and crossing fingers they fit because I love the look and quality.

I love these boots so, so much!! I wear them all the time in winter and spring when I walk my dog. They are comfortable. They keep the cold and wet away from my feet and I love them. I will purchase others if they ever wear out. Purchase them with the socks because they fit awesome with the socks.

This boot is very nice. It fits my wife perfectly. Nevertheless, one boot just isn’t enough. I ordered hunter boots after great debate and comparison with less expensive brands. Nevertheless, it was the reviews and appearance that tipped my decision to go with Hunter brand boots. I thought these would be the perfect Christmas gift. Upon arrival I immediately wrapped the Zappos box and put it under the tree. Christmas morning my wife was surprised to find only one boot in the box. Disappointed, I immediately text this review and sent a request to Zappos to fix the problem. I am impressed with the boot. But, I am very disappointed with Zappos ability to check orders before they ship. I’m expecting immediate replacement.

Initially these were shipped with only one boot in the box. This was a real drag because they were a Christmas gift, talk about dirty Santa. Nevertheless, I reached out to support and the replacements were sitting on the doorstep within 36 hours. The support team was apologetic and very helpful. Thanks Zappos, nice recovery.
