While I regularly read reviews, I rarely write them. I put off purchasing these boots bc of all the bad reviews. I normally wear a size 8 in Hunter boots so I ordered a size 7.. They fit perfectly! think the problem is if youre a half size up or down. I have that difficulty with Dr Martens, can never get them to fit comfortably. But no worries ordering one size down. These are lovely boots and now my new favorites for gardening & dog walking.

I ordered Size 8 as I have tall Hunter boots in that size. They were too big. The size 7 is perfect with the added Orthoheel arch supports and Hunter socks. They are great for gardening— slip on and off easily and are very sturdy.

I am USA size 8 and they were falling off, so I ordered a 7. Still too big, so I ordered a 6 and still too big. These are my first Hunter boots, so maybe there’s something I don’t understand about their sizing but in my experience, but I’d recommend you try a smaller size. Otherwise, they are very nice boots.

I am usually an 8 and ordered an 8 and did not find them too big (w socks). Thank you Hunter for making these boots easy to get on/off. Please don’t make them narrower.

I wear a 6.5 with as many E’s as are available. My instep is so high that even rubber boots are hard to get on most of the time. These garden boots just slide on and off no problem! The reinforced area over the arch for stomping on shovels is pure genius! My quadruple E’s are so happy and can finally even have warm wool socks in the boots instead of just freezing in little sock liners like I used to have to do. Expensive but worth it!

I found the extra wide opening at the top to be quite goofy. They didn’t do it for me.

Adorable, but way too big. Had to order a US size 5 direct from Hunter company. Typically wear a 6.5-7 (leaning toward 7), ordered a 6 and it was huge!

I’m loving these boots but ended up needing a size 8 to fit my 9.5 size foot!

I wanted to like this boot. After reading reviews from others, I purchased this boot in size 7. I normally wear 7.5 to 8 in shoe size. The boot was still big. Living in Florida, I did not want to wear socks to fill out the boot. Sadly, the boot is going back.

These look great but are MORE than one size larger. I am usually a 9 or 9 1/2. I bought these in an 8 after reading the reviews and they were still too big. I haven’t worn a 7 since elementary school! lol

These are Hunter boots so the quality is great. They are generously sized. I usually order a size up, but had to return and order my actual shoe….even then, there was still plenty of room. This may be because they are anticipating you adding a boot sock/liner for it which I ended up doing, but haven’t received yet. The curved cut at the shin is exactly what is needed for garden boots and don’t cut into your leg when getting up and down off the ground. They also make fantastic rain boots. I would definitely recommend them.

This is a good brand with a good name but it runs very long. I did not return it because I was afraid the smaller size would not have been wide enough

I’m so glad I didn’t order a size up! These are big. I wear a 9, but usually need a 10 in boots & could have bought a 8. But with socks these are good. I really love them, the style is great for the garden & in the chicken coop. Easy on and off, and super easy to clean! Very happy w my purchase!

I usually wear a 10.5/11 in women’s sizes, and the 10 fits like a large 11. They work okay with a think pair of socks. I love that you can slip them on easily without having to hold them or struggle – that is why I didn’t go down in size, because I was worried about being able to slip them on. They are a great gardening color and I love the reinforcement for a shovel.

I ordered these boots for daily use with my yard and gardening activities. As of today, I’ve only worn them around the house! I wear a solid size 9, but the 9 offered too much room for my foot to slide when walking so I ordered an 8. I believe the 8 will allow ample comfort whether I am wearing socks or not. They feel sturdy, sufficiently flexible, thick. Love the enhanced area where my boot will meet shovel! The height is called ‘short,’ but is perfect for my needs. tall enough to protect my ankles and lower leg area, but not so high that I have to worry about being able to pull my work pants leg over the opening. Boot opening large enough to allow for easy slip on, not so big that I feel like rain or slosh will enter too easily. I’m very please with the item.

I wear a solid size 9. Definitely needed a size 8 which allows me to wear with and without socks. These feel great on my feet. I like the size of the leg opening, not too tight nor too wide. I think they will last me for years!

These are great looking boots but they’re mens boots being sold as women’s boots so the sizing is all off. Kind of a pain to have to drive them by the ups store to return them.

Love the boots for woking in my yard, however the sizing is a bit off, they run on the large size. Do not size up!

Great support. I can stomp a shovel with these on. But after wearing tennis shoes or crocs for yard work for so long, all that support feels very heavy, but not ball and chain heavy. I wear a size 8 and with a regular athletic sock probably could have used a 1/2 size down. But going down a whole size might have been too small. Still, it leaves room for a thick woolen sock and even without that, I did not have any discomfort, rubbing, chafing or blisters.

I’m 7.5, ordered 7 exchanged for a 6 and still wiggle room. Added felt boot liner from local sheep farm for extra warmth, still fits my foot good. I have garden center / landscape company / horses and always keep a pair of Hunters! These are perfect.

Order a full size or size and a half down from what you wear. I wear a 7.5 and after ordering a 7, ended up reordering a size 6 with wool inserts for the best fit. The footbed feels funny, so not a perfect fit: hoping the fleece inserts form a better shaped footbed over time.

Seems quite well made but must be 2 sizes bigger, even with thick hiking socks. Swimming in these! Sadly have to return these.

Boots are nice. Like extra support under arch for pushing on shovels and what not. I bought a full size smaller and they still seem a little big, but I’m afraid if I go down another size they will be too tight, so I will keep them. Easy to put on and take off. Shaft width is large, even for my wide calves, but I’m ok with that.

These are perfect for yard work and every day rain boots. They are not insulated and there is plenty of room for heavy socks in my size without needing to size up. Note that Zappos has mismarked US sizing. A 37 = 7, but they have it listed as a 6, so be sure to size down or just order by your EU size. I tried 37 and 38, just in case, but as usual 37 was perfect, and I’m a US size 7.
