Immediate comfort. No breaking in. True to size. These are my go-to fall/winter gardening shoes.

I was wary of ordering these as they had no reviews, and I ultimately returned them. What looks like a sleek upper shaft in the picture kind of slouched around my ankle, so they looked more like the sloppy snow boot style I was avoiding. I was also disappointed to see that the attached tag said they were at the lowest waterproof scale for Hunter boots, appropriate for light rain but not for the slushy icy nastiness of Chicago I was hoping they might cut through. If that information had been included anywhere on the Hunter or Zappos website, I probably wouldn’t have bought them. The shaft materials also pressed into my lower calf and ankle in a way that felt like could be really painful and annoying after wearing for awhile. Oh well.
